These stunning, natural cubic pyrite crystals are partially embedded in their original matrix, sourced from the renowned Victoria Mine near Navajún, Spain. With a brilliant golden metallic luster, these cubes formed naturally, showcasing their near-perfect geometry. This cluster features a prominent exposed cube measuring 23mm wide, while the entire specimen spans 65mm and has a flat base for easy display.

The surrounding rock has been carefully removed using precision tools, ensuring the cluster remains intact and well-presented. The pyrite cubes have not been repaired or remounted, though the matrix has been stabilized to preserve their natural arrangement. Due to their striking symmetry and shine, many assume these formations are man-made—but their perfection is entirely nature’s work!

Pyrite from this locality is famous for its incredible sculptural quality, and because the surrounding rock is relatively soft, special care is taken to stabilize and maintain each specimen in its natural position. Nearly all pyrite cubes from this mine have undergone stabilization, and multi-cube clusters are carefully preserved.

The "Ampliación a Victoria" deposit lies 3 kilometers northwest of Navajún, nestled in the Alcarama mountain range. Mining in this region dates back to the Roman era, initially for silver. Modern extraction of galena led to the discovery of these remarkable pyrite crystals in 1965, sparking worldwide demand among collectors. The largest pyrite crystal recorded from this mine measured an astounding 19 cm and weighed 9.5 kg!
